    Hey there,

My w3v is constantly loading, this is even if no programs are running.

It is not a virus, as i have formatted the entire computer and the problem remains.

What could be the problem here? its driving me insane...

    Thanks for the help!

By loading.. u mean constantly reading?

Have you checked what background processes are running / taking CPU time? Maybe start from there to see what's going on...

It could be that your running many programs, and have a small amount of RAm, which can't cope, so the hards drive starts to page file. If thats, the case, try to cut down on the number of programs.

Are you sure that you disable the Windows update?? or you can disable all the application after a Windows boot up under a "msconfig" and "System Configuration Utility" to see the problem is there.
    Cheers

Be careful when disabling programs under "msconfig". Some may be needed, like a firewall.

    thanks for the replies,

i have disabled all but the essential programs on startup through msconfig so i dont think that this is the case.

Ram is also not the issue as i have 1gb.

My brothers computer (w3v) basically has exactly the same programs and install and yet his w3v does not constantly load (ie the loading light doesnt flash constantly as mine does) when the computer is just doing nothing. ie no programs open.
