you could turn the system on it's side and try to knock it out.... like a piece of gum out of a pack or something.

Or you could try to use another memory stick and push it in on top of it and hope that pops it out a little bit and then try to grab it with tweezers

Is that area one of the more sensitive sections of the computer to a magnet?

I would try cutting an old credit card or something similarly thin/strong in half and slide it in on either side of the card, press together with tweezers outside of the case, and try to get it out that way.

I don't know if this will work but if but if worse comes to worse, you could always get a matchstick and put a small amount of super glue on it and stick it to the memory stick and pull it out. Unless it has a 'nudge/slide' general memory sticks readers normally have.

I also had one stuck in there and I used two paper clips ( unbend them) and lots of patience, works fine now.

Maybe you can try using a ruler or cut-up credit card. Stick a piece of double-sided tape to one end, then insert that end into the slot. Hope this helps :)

I would have to agree with this one, either a tooth pick or a piece of plastic, put a dab of glue on the end, let it dry and then pull it out then just cut the plastic off the card.

I have actually glued a MS Duo pro card together, the casing was starting to split apart exposing the chip, I just put some resin bonding glue closed the card up and when it dried I cut of the excesss glue, it stil works fine!

So I am sure if you glued it you wont have a problem removing the glue afterwards, you just trim it off with a sharp craft knife.

I just got my Mem Pro Duo stuck in my multi-card slot. Did a google search and found this thread. Jumpers idea worked. :) I cut a junk credit card length wise and used some double sided tape one side. Make sure the taped side is facing the card not the SD slot pins. I got the card out rite away!
If you dont have double sided tape around maybe a Memory stick Pro Duo adaptor would work.

Seems this is a common problem.

Same happened to me. Tried to push it further in, so it would latch out.

Result was a very strached laptop lid and having to send the laptop into repair.

Over two months later, still not had a fixed laptop back.

Question: Is the slot designed to be a Memory Stick slot as well as SD? Or do people just tend to stick them there because they fit?

It is multi, it is a great addition, I have use Memory Stick standard, MS duo and MS micro (with the right MS adaptor of course), SD and even the Fuji XD card, (which I didnt think was even supported), but I slotted it in and to my surprise, it fits flush and reads perfectly! the only thing you have to remember if you are using smaller formats that have adapters like MS Duo or Micro or SD mini, you must use the appropriate adaptor. :D

okay guys i got it out! im so happy. here what i did. i got one of those fake credit cards companies send you in the mail and i cut off a long strip and then i put a lil tiny dot of crazy gule and stick it in(glue facing up). once it got in the pins from the computer pushed the card up to the memory stick and it sticked to the memory stick so i let it dry then boom!!! it came off with no damage to the card!

Sometimes the card gets bundled in with stuff. For example I got my card bundled with my mobile phone.
