I just noticed that when using Power4Gear and changing my settings to battery savings if I change my brightness settings to 50% ish my power block on my adapter makes some serious crackling noise, a noise similiar to a hard drive reading data really fast.

Should I be worried bout this? If i have the brightness at 0% or 100% its perfectly fine but otherwise there is this crackling noise constantely coming from the block. The adapter is only a few weeks old.

Mine has made a strange crackling noise as long as I remember (at least a month). It seems to happen when I make a click with my mouse? No idea why and not sure if brightness affects it.

Could be normal then it is mostly when I change the voltage that is going through the machine so I guess it could be the converter changing power supply and causes the noise. Its is mostly when i change power4gear to a lower setting for instance 50% CPU 50% Brightness when its on full it makes no sound.

I have bought a new Surge Protector anyway just in case.
