Per request, here a pics of my new W5F with the 9 cell battery inserted. It sticks out much farther than I expected. However, the battery life is incredible. I really need to "clock" it. The next time I fully charge it up I will do that and report back. I know I am getting at least 6 hours on it though. And, the screen on this thing is very bright even with battery power. I am sitting in the sun now and I wouldn't have even known my Toshiba Satelite was on. But, I can see everything crystal clear on this ASUS. I really love this thing!

I took the pics. Now if I could just figure out how to get the blasted memory stick out without hunting down the tweezers everything would be great!

wow! I have never seen anything stick out that far before! Are they extra big cells or what? Huge batter with lots of power though ;)

I feel the same with Eddie, I think it is because Z33A is in black color, so don't feel it that much. Just like when I wear black shirt, my belly looks smaller than in white shirt. :p

The battery doesn't wobble at all. It is very stable, just like part of the laptop. This is really one study laptop. It feels very solid, yet it is lightweight at the same time.

Eddie - what is a base three cell? I don't get it.

It seems like ASUS could have left some extra room back there for a larger battery. The idea of the thin and light is that it is "ultraportable". Which means people buy it b/c they want to take it everywhere, which means we need lots of battery power (who wants to carry extra batteries and chargers around?). An oversight in the thin and light dept imho. Maybe they'll improve it with the next one!

Yeah, when they state dimensions they should include battery size, especially if it is half the width of the thing! By the way, I think I might paint it pink. :)
