    Hello,
I have just upgraded to SP1. I downloaded it from the microsoft website as my Updater wouldn't pick it up. But the issue i am having is i have no sound in things like Music, Video, DVD. However i get all the little system noises coming through the speakers.
It can't be the audio driver as i get system sound through the speakers. However when i go on WMP and try to play a song i get the red cross next to the songs, indicating they can't be played

    Any ideas at all?

Rollback sound drivers, or uninstall then reinstall. Seems this is happeneing to alot of people.

hmm, well, rolling back the drivers worked for someone else with that problem. did you uninstall them first, then reinstall, or just install them?
