    New UX31A very confused help needed

    I ordered a UX31A-R4003V off of newegg (or so I thought). I have been having a myriad of head scratchers since turning on the ultrabook 30 minutes ago. They are as follows:

    1. I open the box and plug in the ultrabook. It charges for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes when the light turns green on the charger. I turn the laptop and proceed to use it and it says I am at 91% battery life. Currently at 78% with light use and its been 30 minutes. Hmmmmm....

    2. When windows opens an "RI RECOVERY" window opens and says I have not created a backup copy of my factory state windows. Should I/how should I go about doing this? I am completely new to this and would really appreciate the help.

    3. I go to register my laptop for warranty (should I wait? It says you can register up to 30 days after the purchase date) and I say the model number is and R4003V but my warranty barcode clearly says "UX31A-DB71" at the top...what is going on? Is it the wrong warranty or a different computer than I ordered?

    4. I open the "my computer" window as I am already a bit sketched out as to whether I got the computer I wanted or not. There are two hard drives pictured. One says "OS (C :) 65.5 free of 98.5gb" and the other says "DATA (D :) 125 of 125 gb free". Mine was supposed to come with 256gb. I do not understand this.

    5. The computer is also suprisingly sluggish and is lagging all of the place. The fan is pulsing on 5 seconds then off 5 seconds ever since I turned it on. Can someone help me find the most recent drivers for EVERYTHING and where to find updates so I can keep my computer updated?

    All I want is a working computer and I am very unsure of this zenbook after these events and the number of problems that have been associated with the ux31a. On the bright side it says "sandforce powered" on the box but I am even starting to doubt that. Seems everything is going wrong.

    2. Windows 7, or Windows 8? The AI Recovery program does not work in 8, but if you're running Windows 7, then follow the prompts so that you have a backup of the recovery partition (you will be asked for media to copy the recovery to), just in case something goes south with your current installation of Windows, or the hard drive itself.

    3. Double check with newegg and perhaps with Asus before you register it just to be sure you have what you think you have.

    4. That looks more like you got a 128 GB drive (just two partitions, which is normal). Now it's REALLY time to get in touch with newegg.

    5. Select your OS and have at it. :)
