Someone linked me to this laptop HERE on a different site.

Is this laptop good at that price? It has a 3.0 port, an i7-720, 4 gigs of ram, 640gb space, and a ati 5730.

What I plan on doing on this thing is rendering, encoding, watching 1080p vids, photoshop cs4, and gaming. I know gaming takes a lot of juice but I'm more of a xbox gamer and normally I don't get games on the pc that requires too much. Can this video card play say.... oblivion 4 on this lappy or perhaps command and conquer 3 kanes wrath?

Or perhaps that graphic card is too much for what I do? If so, maybe something cheaper?

I don't know about the laptop, but that price is a bit better than at Amazon, or Newegg, and you get a little bit more HDD space as well. For what it's worth, you can read the end user reviews at both Amazon and Newegg to get an idea of what people who have the laptop think of it.

    Good Luck..

Why don't you read the massive threads about the N71? And then make your own decision...

good. I'll get one. From what I've read and the gpu specs, looks like this thing is what I'm looking for. I'm really curious of how fast that 3.0 port is :) thanks for ur help.

USB 3.0 provides a theoretical 5Gb/s transfer speeds (real life applications usually yield lesser results) and given this huge bandwidth, your transfer speeds will most likely be limited to the speed of your hard drive.
