    Forum,
hope you can help me! My boss let me borrow his EEE 1000, and recently I plugged in the power adapter and it sputtered and smoked! A friend and I cracked it open and found it was totally fried, circuit board looked like a war zone.

I'm trying to buy a replacement, but all the adapters on Amazon have comments like "sometimes explodes", and I need to make a good impression here. I'm willing to pay full price for the thing, but I can't even find a way to buy one from the official ASUS site! Does anyone know where I can buy a legitimate charger?

    Thanks!
    Brian

    (ps, I think it's a 1000HE)
