Here are some pictures comparing the N80Vn to 3 other laptops.

    From top to bottom:
    Toshiba M205 14"
    ASUS N80Vn-CP011C 14"
    Lenovo T61 14"
    Dell 6400 15.4"

The N80Vn is large for a 14" laptop, and you can see there's a thick border around the screen in other people's screenshots. It's probably because they had to fit the 9650m and a huge list of extras in to the laptop. It is slightly thinner than the Toshiba however.

The weight of the ASUS is about the same as Lenovo with a 9 cell battery, and definitely heavier than the Toshiba. The Dell of course is the heaviest, but carrying it around the living room does not feel more cumbersome than the ASUS.

Screen on the ASUS is about 1.5x brighter than Dell, and 2x brighter than the Toshiba. The LED absolutely makes a difference, even my 22" LCD sitting next to the laptop looks ugly now. Turning down the brightness to about 70% matched the Dell, so on battery you can probably live with 20% and get great battery life.

I think the keyboard on the ASUS actually feels the best, it has a little flex but the keys are very supportive. The Toshiba has the worst flex of all.

ASUS wins hands down on looks. The screen also opens up to about 170 degrees, which matters to me. I HATE how the Toshiba doesn't open more than about 120 degrees. Opening and closing the lid is also easiest with the ASUS.

I like the placements of all the ports on the N80Vn (which is vastly different from N50Vn, and is part of the reason why I went with the N80). I hate how the Toshiba's AC port is on the left side and the audio ports are in the front (N80 suffers from this also).

I'm too tired to think of anything else right now. :p

What are the specs for the other laptops? Too bad you don't have a Lenovo T400 or HP Elitebook 6930p to compare :p Is your Dell E6400 w/ LED WXGA+? Do you have an accurate scale for weights? Thanks for the summary!

That's a Dell 6400, not an E6400 (it uses the case of the older E1505 I think).
