Just acquired a N80V, it has an infrared port (ITECIR Infrared Receiver). I can't find a software application for using this port. The laptop has NO documentation whatsoever as far as I can tell.

How can I use the infrared port? I would like to transfer data to/from my cell phone, but the connection appears dead, no status, no icon, nothing.

    Anybody?

I can't help much but going to Device Manager>System Devices>Consumer IR Devices shows that the device is working and that the driver is Microsoft's generic Vista driver for IR; you might start with their Knowledge Base and see what you can learn.
