I just recieved my ASUS N53SM-ES72 laptop and let me first say hat I love it. Very fast and everything is running great. My problem comes when I looked in "My Computer" and see that I have two HDD spaces set up. One has 279 GB and the other has 394GB. This thing was supposed to have a 750 GB HDD, which the space between the two would give me roughly, but why is there two seperate partitions right out of the box?

Asus does this on all their laptop, i can't remember why, but it is easy to merge both partition using window's disk management tool if you do not want two partitions.

That is correct, they are just partitioned. You simply want to adjust that as Tijo said.

You may have a back up recovery partion as well, be careful not to erase that, as you may need it in the future. It's a good idea to have a back up recovery disc in case your drives fail.
