Ok, so I finally got my C90s computer from Gentech on Monday, and it was very exciting :D The laptop looks so good, but I did have some issues with it.

First of all, I could not install Vista Ultimate 32-bit on it. It would go through to installation, but then it would just stall at the black loading screen. I told Ken this and he was quick to give me a call. I decided to just install XP instead and I had no trouble with the installation.

I also cannot run on battery power at all. It would just keep giving me the BSOD.

Lastly, the built-in camera was working just fine at first but now all I get is a black screen when I run AMCap. I reinstalled the drivers but it just does not work anymore.

I do not really care about Vista, since I am perfectly fine with running XP. But if any of you guys have any solutions to the battery and camera problem, I would really appreciate all the help I can get.

    Thanks!

then the most lkely response you are going to get from ken is to check i ram is not loose and then to try each stick separatly.

BTW did you install driver one by one or did you use the asus "install all" option?

probably has nothing to do with it but the first time i installed windows i use it and my system was very unstable then I resintalled windows and installed the most up to date driver i could find my system is more stable now .

I used the install all option. Did you just go to all the different websites to get the latest drivers for each piece of hardware?

nope for the gpu i installed the latest form laptopvideo2go, for the wireless i went to intel and for the rest i went to the asus member site (even tough some are the same as the cd).

no cam driver though that you will have to install from the cd... the thing is i did it one by one restarting when asked to.

like i said its probably no that but still ...

edit -> also theres a new turbogear version on the asus site

Ok cool. I used the cd drivers for the GPU, but I am checking out laptopvideo2go right now. Which version should I download? That website is confusing :p

Ok cool. I just downloaded the EXE file, but what do you mean about INF? I see it on there but when I click on the link, it gives me a problem loading the page message. Also, when I right click and save link as, it shows up as nv4_disp. How do I get the INF?

it should say something along the lines of nv_disp.inf basically as longa s the file ends in inf. All you do is download the exe file open it and let it extract to a folder ( I recommend making a new folder for it and extracting there so you can delete after you are done updating). Then once the files are extracted either do save as and save the inf in the new folder or download it somwhere else and do cut and paste. Then it asks you to if you want to replace the inf click yes then just run the setup.
