Just as it says on the can - my work is mostly IO bottlenecked, and I'd love to get me a pair of these 500 GB beasts. Comments?

    Hmm. If you've got a g51vx, you've got 2 HD spots.

Yup, got a G51Vx-A1, with 640 GB HDDs in RAID0. Hoping to get 640 or 1 TB in SSD stuff.

With WD offering 1TB drives at 5400, I would buy 1 of these XT's at 500 gb, put all of the accessed data on that, wait a year, and then buy an XT at 1 TB.
