I just bought a new Asus X83vb-X1 laptop which is running Windows Vista 64 . I have 4gb of RAM installed. My problem is that, initially, Vista only recognizes 3gb of RAM when I first boot up the computer. However, after I restart it recognizes the full 4gb. This happens every time, and it gets cumbersome having to restart after booting up in the morning to get windows to recognize all my RAM. Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Just in case you don't know the specs for the laptop:
    Asus X83Vb-X1 laptop
    Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 @ 2ghz
    Intel GM45 Express Chipset
    4 GB DDR 2 RAM
    Geforce 9300M GS 512mb
    Vista 64 Home Premium

the first time you boot it next time go into the bios or run memtest and see how much it finds... That will confirm if windows/software or bios/hardware/memory.
