Well My G73 had so much crap on it I decided to wipe it, so I got my Asus recovery disc threw them in get to do you want to install this Images yes then are you sure you want to wipe the hard drive. Yes, then it starts to recover the partition and turns off and wont let me turn it back on for 10 to 20 seconds and I can't go back to the old partition what can be done now?

First try removing all power sources the press and hold the reset pin hole on the bottom of the machine for about 15 seconds. Then power on with AC.
Can you do F9 after power on and recover that way?
If not try with the recovery DVD's again. Worst case scenario you may need to do a clean install of win 7, if you go that route let us know first.
Welcome to the Forum and to the ASUS G73JH (Just a Hassle)

What JOSEA mentioned is know as a EC (embedded controller) reset. This is a pretty hit or miss fix for some issues, but it's definitely good advice. If you find that it doesn't work, can you elaborate a bit more on: "...and turns off and wont let me turn it back on for 10 to 20 seconds and I can't go back to the old partition..."?

    Good luck!
