Has anyone had any luck changing the music control buttons on the left-side of the notebook to control Winamp instead of Windows Media Player?

Well, I looked through out all of the registry, and asus or their third party software vendor certainly didn't make it easy for us to change the player... Looks like I'll have to code up something in my spare time for this...

I just need to know something. Obviously, there is the play, stop, go back, and go forward buttons. But what is that spring-loaded slider button used for? Tell me what that does, and maybe I'll write something for us Asus fans.

yep, it's for playing audio cd's while the computer is off. and it works ;)
so does the audio dj buttons and volume (fn+f10/f11) in this mode.

in windows, it starts media player, and the 'play' button starts windvd player (default configuration, no tweaking :))

unfortunately, i think you must rewrite the hkcontrol.exe.
