    Hey there.

i've been lookin around for a notebook for quite a while and i'm keen on the ASUS A8Js along with the W3J but problem is i live in Singapore and i dun think they actually ship in A8Js locally. Would anyone have any information on where i can order it online? needs to ship in internationally since i'm in Singapore. If not, i also wouldn't mine buying it from Australia since my brother is currently studying there.

And i was wonderin whether or not there is a big diff in performance wise between the ATI X1600 (W3J)/ATI X1700/Nvidia 7700(A8Js).

i'm mainly usin it for school as well as gaming when i'm not at home cause i travel quite a bit.

Games that i'd be playing on it would be WoW, Fear, BF2142 and some of the upcoming games.

Hope to hear your responds soon. btw, how long would u guys think the A8Js would last until i'd have to buy a new notebook?

From what I've seen on that website, they are essentially selling a rebadged A8Js, meaning that it doesn't come with the standard Asus international 2 year warranty, so how are you going to deal with warranty and also factor in the customs tax/excise that you may be exposed to.

I'm from Australia and I really want a A8Js as it seems an (almost) perfect fit for me, but I won't be in such a rush to buy it now and hopefully in time when more shipments get to Australia (if they do) prices would have come down to a more competitive level.

I think some of the resellers here can ship overseas for a reasonable price, try asking them (I remember MilestonePC saying he does internationally, I'd assume BTOTech, ProPortable would also be able to... )
