Hey guys I just purchased a Eee PC 1000H because i needed a computer for school that was tiny and my AW is not reliable at all and is very bulky. If you want I'll do a review but so far its a solid little computer.

I'm hoping that you can do some performance tests (regular web browsing, music listening, movie viewing) with an external monitor (extended if possible) (looks like you have the w2007, but I could be wrong). I'm considering the w2007 + 1000H combo, but I'm hoping that it can handle 720p video, which will probably be the most stressful I'll make the Eee do, but I'm not expecting super smooth performance.

I already have Word / excel / powerpoint 2000 so I didn't feel the need to purchase 2007.

Right now I'm typing on the system using the 10" screen and its working very well for me. The palm check seems to be working well as the cursor isn't moving at all while I type. I have to say I am very impressed with this laptop so far.

I will do more tests as the time comes. I will also hook it up to one of my 20" monitors which runs at 1680x1050.

Hi Stone, how much does it cost? Does it use linux? What's the implication if I have used everything windows (XP) compatible?

I'm just holding out for a touch screen mod to come out for this before I get one. Making this into a tablet would make it so much better :)

There are about 10 different touch screen mods. Still I too small to use well I think as a touch screen and people have had problems with the screens cracking.
