My V6Va passed the ultimate test for me tonight: it played BF2 better than my desktop!

Granted, if I pushed my desktop it could technically kill the V6Va (6800GT w/ AMD64 3500+). However, I play at native resolution with all the graphical goodies turned all the way down to maximize performance...and since my desktop monitor can only do 1280x1024....

Oh I'm so happy now! Wohoo!

What the...I don't think you have your desktop configured properly.

The specs you listed would totally destroy your V6Va.

I'm glad your laptop performs so well though. :D

    Cheers,
    Mike

mmm yes, thats great but why spend so much on a decent desktop if your not gonna use its raw power?
If you dont turn all the goodies on then you might as well play quake3, and save alot of cash on hardware.

I know my desktop can destroy it, but I play the game scaled down - was having lag problems with the effects turned up. I got the V6Va though b/c I'm spending an increasing amount of time away from home and can't get any work done.

So you bought a laptop, but now all you do is play video games on it? How does that help get your work done? :D

    BTW - I'm just a pot calling a kettle "black"... ;)
