That's what I decided I want except that I'd prefer the newer-style touchpad. Also I like the style of the V6j but it'd be nice if it were widescreen with an x1600. What's the problem?!?!?!?!?! I think both of those would sell very well in the States.

Pretty much the similiarities with the W2j.

Its exactly the same, just the screen difference, price, same weight, specs, and even footprint. No one would buy such a thing, and even if they did, it wouldn't be much.

The V1J might be perfect for you then. Though I am not sure if it is a widescreen notebook and when it will be released. :p

(BTW Coriolis, your avatar is the best ;))

I thought the w1 would be 15.4 instead of the 17? other than that, it should be lighter no? but thats about it.

    Its true, but the 15.4" W1 is 3.2lbs, the 17" W2 is 3.5lbs

I really don't want the W2 because of portability concerns, and for sure the footprint is larger if it's a bigger screen.

If u really really wan, u could goto www.notebook.de to get it. BUT, it ll cost u a hefty 2000euros. They provide international shipping, Although the website is in german, i think u can manage it.
