    How long should RMA repair take?

    So my Asus notebook was overheating, it was sent for RMA,. They've had it for a 7 days now and the status is "Waiting-Wait Advise" on their website. I called Asus RMA support on the phone and the woman wouldn't give details she just said it was being repaired...

    How long is a typical wait for RMA for Asus?

    did you RMA it to the reseller/retailer or directly to ASUS? It could be they may be out of stock on parts currently awaiting shipments so it could take up to a month or so.

    It all depends on if they have the parts available or not.
    Here in Germany, my last two RMAs with ASUS were blazing fast. One time I sent in a defective harddisk and I got new one within 8 days.
    The other time I sent the notebok and they changed the mainboard, but still they were able to send it back within 7 days. :D
