G51Jx BSoD - Fix in the work, but it could be awhile.

[Fixed/Workaround] Asus G51J(x) CPU throttling investigation

I know the G51JX A1, X3 and G60JX BB variants quite well - but the G51JX-X1 not so much. Less Ram, but still top line CPU - possibly without the backpack and mouse? You should probably read over the NewEgg reviews for X1 specific info, and consult this forum and the review for general G51JX info.

    Not really...a 15.6 diagonal vs 17 diagonal...isn't that much of a difference.

Also the G51 is 7.28 lbs vs G73 8.00 lbs

The G51's design is old. The chassis and cooling system are old. What you are wanting to buy is an old design stuffed with the newest tech. Why don't you save yourself the hassle BSODs, heating, and CPU throttling problems by just going with the G73, a completely new system instead of the recycled G5x series.

This is the version I bought, I believe the only difference is in the 4 Gb vs 6 Gb of the A1's and no backpack or mouse.
