    Hi one of my friends currently lives in the US and he was goin to purchase a g73hj and ship it to me , is this is a gift do i have to pay import tax to the uk on it ? if any1 knows anything about this it would be a great help thanks alot

    I don't know about UK, but in Germany the Customs don't always believe that it is a gift.
    Many times they charge you the import duty.

    You will be liable for VAT (currently 17.5%) on the value if it exceeds £40 (see HMRC). This will need to be paid to the courier company before the shipment is released from customs.
