As for the W5, is there a port for extra hard drive if I want more than 40 Gb?

Either a USB drive for storage or you replace the HDD inside.

I don't know if I fully understand what's being said here...... but there isn't any extra room for a second hard drive..... but you can replace the drive in the unit with whatever your heart desires..... or you could hook up an external drive, like mentioned above.... either way I hope that answers your question.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Just buy an external 2.5 HDD enclosure, put a new HDD in there or put in the new one in the W5 then the old one goes in the enclosure.

maybe I am not understanding you correctly but you are asking where you can get an external hdd? Every major hdd manufacturer sells external USB 2.0 and firewire hard drives now. Also like it was suggested you can get and external enclosure for 2.5" (notebook) or 3.5" (desktop) hdd, buy the appropriate size hdd and then mount the hdd in the enclosure. Takes about 1-2 mins tops to do it and usually there are vereasy to follow instructions.

Or is the original question about whether the W5 has a modular bay and can take a second HDD? This is an option for the W3.

The alternative is, as already suggested, to buy a bigger / faster HDD to replace the internal HDD which can be put into an external USB carrier. This is my approach and provides the option of going back to the original HDD should there be a major HDD or operating system failure.
