    My hard drive is parted into 3 partitions which are drive C, F, E. The default of my optical drive is D. I went and switch the letters around so that the hard drives go in alphabetical order which is C, D, E and make the optical drive F. After all that, I realize the optical drive icon still remain on drive D. I want to change it to a hard drive icon but I don't know how to do it. Can someone please help me?

    you could also change them via diskmgmt.msc

    right click -> change letter/path
