did anyone hear about "HP" ending mobile products, maybe selling of PC division? the news said>> In a dramatic reshuffling, Hewlett-Packard Co. said Thursday that it will discontinue its tablet computer and smartphone products and may sell or spin off its PC division, bowing out of the consumer businesses.they allso said that by the end of next year, HP computers could be sold under another company's name. i say good, i have had them in the past and had nothing but trouble.thats why i am with "asus", best computer that i have had so far.

the selling off or spinning off of the PC division is purely rumor. I actually wouldnt mind if HP spun off the PC division into its own entity

Yeah, the rumor is that HP plans to split/sell of its PC division.

Just like when HP bought Compaq (the #1 PC manufacturer at that time)
Or when Lenovo bought IBM (and everyone thought that Thinkpads were going to die)

It would be nice if someone like Samsung or maybe Google (GASP!) bought HP's PC division.
