I've been looking for a good sleeve for the W7J to no avail.

I guess the 13.3 form factor is relatively new. I've been looking mostly at sleeves designed for the Macbook. The width and depth are fine, just the height is significantly different. (Macbook = 2.8cm, W7J = 2.9 - 3.69)

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Almost all of those listed on the site are too big. The only one that is close is the Caselogic EVA.

Thanks. I think ultimately I'll have to take my notebook down to a Apple store to see if any of the sleeves fit. I hope none of the workers see it's actually a pc and not a mac :D

    My sister uses a Zeroshock 12" notebook sleeve for her Fujitsu Lifebook P5020D. The Asus W7J will fit neatly in a Zeroshock 14" notebook sleeve ( http://shinza.com/product_info.php?cPath=5&products_id=46), whose interior dimensions are (W x D x H) 13.0 x 1.8 x 10.8 inches (330 x 45 x 275 mm). Not a snug fit, I know. I can only hope there'll be a Zeroshock in the near future for 13.3" widescreen notebooks.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding a sleeve that fits snuggly on the w7j as well >.< Anyone with experience can tell us if the sleeve is about half an inch to an inch to big on either width or length does it make a huge difference? what about depth?

I suggest you try crumpler or timbuk2 sleaves.

    Enjoy!

Waterfield has a bunch of custom-sized notebook sleeves:

    http://www.sfbags.com/products/sleevecases/sleevecases.htm

I recently ordered one of their "sleevecases" to go inside one of their cargo bags. The W7j doesn't show up on their sleevecase sizing chart, but they told me via email which sleevecase sizes would work best for the W7j (with either a 6-cell or 9-cell battery). I don't have those sizes with me right now and can't remember them, but they can help you out if you email them.

Note that you can customize the sleevecases to have a strap, flap, external pockets, padding, etc. Or you can get the stripped down version and use it inside another bag.

waterfield bag and sleeves seems.... extremely expensive o_O

40 for sleeve and all the bags are like 200+ >.<

I was hoping to get something like a bag/backpack with sleeve inside for 50-60~

are u sure guys? the w7J has a height of 1.5in. the tucano u picked only has like 1.2 :-/ for the tucano even the length is too small, 12.2 and 12.4. I know they can stretch a bit but wouldn't that make it difficult to put in and take out? I want the perfect size >.<

i think im just gonna take it to stores around me when i get it to see if i can get a good fit. i guess radio shacks carry the tucanos. that tucano should fit according to the w7j dimensions:

    12.4" (length) x 8.92" (width) x 1.142"~1.453" (height)

and the tucano size guide, page 4 http://www.tucano.it/ENG/html_esterno/compatibilita/FOLDER_SS.pdf

for anyone else interested. the waterfield sizes for the w7j are

    horizontal 26-18
    vertical 26-19

so yeah 40 bucks if u get it from there ~_~. But seems like that's the only one available with a perfect fit right now. Poo

I really like the Tucano sleeves also but according to their size charts online, our notebooks don't fit because they are too fat

I didn't know Radio Shack carries Tucano sleeves. There is one near by, I should go check it out in person.

Considering how close in size the w7j is to the Sony SZ, anyone tried one of the Sony sleeves?

    Wow, thread revival :p

I'm actually looking to buy a STM sleeve. I saw one in person and I really like the material. They ran out of 13.3 MacBook sleeves and will be getting some more in about a week. Hopefully it will fit the W7J :D

This is my first post on this forum :)
I bought the W7J Tuesday and it came with an ASUS branded sleve with a magnetic catch... It looks good and the W7J fits perfectly.

I bought my W7J at a place called Data3 here in Brisbane, Australia. Unfortunately I don't think they deal direct to the public. I got it under a salary sacrifice agreement at work.

Anyway, I have attatched a pic.

Well, it is ASUS branded, so someone at ASUS in your country might know about them. Mine didnt come in the white box that the w7 came in. Data3 shipped it in a larger box that contained a targus laptop carry bag, plus the sleeve. I guess it depends on who you order from as to what "extras" they include"
