    a thought.

    three slots in the G71G. each house up 2GB sticks. anyone know what the limitations on the mobo are for this box? could we eventually stuff 4GB sticks in there?

    12GB would be sweeeeeet.

    i think its only 8gb....which if fine because you wont need more then that anytime soon :D

    The G71G only supports 8gb of ram (Chipset limitation).
    You only really need that much ram if you're running virtual machines.

    good to know. but with three slots, i guess that means 2-2-4 = 8?
