I bought an Asus G60JX at bestbuy a couple of weeks ago at a discount price of $805. I loove this laptop, it's fast, it's pretty, has a great keyboard and a great deal overall.

The problem is that while I'm gaming (CoD MW2, Empire TW, M&B Warband, Arma II) I can play in ultra/high with more than 30 FPS average but suddenly it starts to get glitchy like weird textures or textures dissapearing at all replaced by flat green/blue/violet, weird visual filters like grainy stuff etc. and in the worst cases it completely freezes and I have to Ctrl+Alt+Del to return to the game (this happens most often in CoD MW and MW2).

I uninstalled the Creative software and the temps don't go beyond 86 C. What is the problem with this thing?

Try updating your graphics driver from Nividia or laptopvideo2go. Often times, different drivers can have great affect in gameplay performance.

Check GPU Temps? Download GPU-z and have it log the readings. Play your game with it running then check it after you start having the issues. Could be overheating?

The latest drivers may not be the best drivers. I think alot of people use the WHQL 197.45 drivers.

mine has the same problem, but it does not freeze. I play World of Warcraft on ultra setting cant get pass 30fps ! then when I am on the game screen and i turn up or down the volume via the FN key, the middle of my screen will start twitching. I also updated the graphics driver to the latest and the bios to 206, still dont work.

I just got this computer today. I can only use the computer to browse the internet for maybe 10 minutes, after that it freezes. I believe the problem are the video drivers, I tried using the OEM drivers as well as the latest drivers and I constantly get BSOD.

I requested a replacement before checking this forum, now I am concerned that it will get the same BSOD.
