I just got an Intel X25-M SSD but I'm having problems activating W7. On the HDD I was using, I was able to activate W7 online without any problems by doing a clean install using the W7 upgrade disc (the OEM one from ASUS under the free upgrade promotion). It would activate without any problems.

I took the HDD out (without formatting), put in the SSD and installed W7 using the upgrade disc. However when I try and activate W7 it says.

The product key you typed cannot be used to activate Windows on this computer.

Is W7 locked to my previous HDD or something? Don't get what's going on.
