Recently my keyboard on my Asus G51vx-rx05 has been acting weird (Backspace, P, 1) - they sometimes sto working (<-lol, it just happened :D ) and if I keep tapping them, they eventually start working again.

I recently had a light spill on my keyboard :( (Yes, stupid I know  ) and was wondering if that could of caused it?

I found this thread via Google - its weird how the EXACT same keys on mine aren't working (and they're both G51 laptops):

Do I have to get a replacement keyboard? Also, mine is Refurbished if that makes a difference. Anything else I should try?

I think I'm gonna try that keyboard disassembly and cleaning from the above link later today and see if it makes a difference.

disassemble and clean, and if that doesnt work looks like you would need to replace it? What kind of spill was this?

When "spill" and "keyboard isn't working" are used together, more often than not it means you need a replacement. Of course, try cleaning and reseating the keyboard just to be sure.

Alrighty - I cleaned the keyboard connections with rubbing alcohol and haven't had a problem since. We'll see how long this lasts. :D
