so the specifications say it has a kensington lock hole, but does that mean that only kensington branded lock will fit. I'm a student and was wondering what is the best lock for this laptop

Belkin and Targus offers a few laptop locks that are compatible on most laptops that are equipped with the "kensington lock". However, because of this obscurity, I'd tend to recommend sticking with the kensington brand.

Well....I'm pretty sure that Kensington has become a generic term for it....I've bought a pretty unknown brand lock really cheap and it fits fine.

One odd thing I found with my W90 is that the lock slot is too big for my cable lock to work.

I had to modify it for the lock to remain attached. Not that it even really matters though, the slot only secures the lock to the flimsy plastic in the corner of the case, not the actual frame. Hopefully, the G51 is a bit better. ;)
