On newegg the specifications do not list an ethernet port for this laptop (or the A1 for that matter...but I'm not really interested in that one) but they do list one for the X1A.
I'm wondering if someone who owns the X2A can verify if it does in fact have an ethernet port. I'm willing to bet that it does, but just need verification before I pull the trigger. Most of my connectivity to the internet would be via wireless....but I don't want my ONLY option to be wireless. Thanks for any info.

doubt that there is any laptop that does not have an ethernet cable....

Actually I've read a review on newegg for a different model laptop where the pictures showed one and the specs didn't list one...and someone bought it thinking that it would have an ethernet port (just assumed that it was an oversight by whomever at newegg that listed the specs). Well, they got it and were surprised to see that it didn't have one...it was strictly wireless. And with newegg's return policy on laptops I just want to make sure I don't have the same problem the other guy had with his.

Here is the laptop that I ran across mentioned in my 2nd post here. I was mistaken though...when I made the post I was under the impression that he actually bought the laptop (been a few days since I saw the review). He was doing research on the model and discovered it had no ethernet port even though the pics showed one, but the specs page didn't list one. -
it has an Ethernet port on the back

One other question...about the keyboard. Do you find the flex in the keyboard to be a little too much? Or is it better than the Best Buy version of the G51? -
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
The chassis and keyboard are the exact same. Flex isn't bad.

Ok great. Good to hear...although I felt the flex in the BB model was a little much but I figure if I don't sit there and watch it then it probably won't bother me too much. Now I just need to decide if I want to wait until the egg gets more X1A's back in stock or just go for the X2A. I was really interested in the G71 at Best Buy (would prefer a 17" to be honest) but after the $150 jump in price...it knocked that laptop out of contention, especially when knowing that just a week and a half ago it was only $1150.
