Ok, how the heck do I turn on the backlight keyboard? This instruction manual is weak!

As hard as it is to admit, I had to call support and ask them how to do it. Even worse, support put me on hold for 10 minutes while they looked it up.

Haha.....yeah....the instruction manual is just a generic thing that seemed probably designed for like all Asus models since it doesn't really have any G51 specific information in it

Sorry to awaken a sleeping giant but I just picked up a G51VX-RX05 and I can't get the keyboard backlight to turn on for the life of me. And yes, I did do Fn+F4 and multiple times at that. Did I get a bad unit or something?

    And 24 hours later... :/

Edit: Figured it out. If you remove your keyboard, check the power cable for the backlight and make sure it is seated properly. Mine was not, hence no backlight. Sorry for the 3 bumps but it (sadly) took me 2 days and a near $20 purchase on ASUS' eStore to figure this out. I'm a little disheartened though that no one responded.
