Has anyone tried to put a different vent blower/fan in there to maybe move more air around in that area?

Same here. I have yet to find a place that sells a variety of laptop fans.

Somewhere out there I would imagine they are producing them. Would only make sense as laptops are getting more and more customizeable now a days compaired to the olda days.

    Hohoho
I was just browsing for a Southbridge fan for my C90S.

Two companies I have found make fans of the sizes we want:
    ADDA and Sunon
It depends if you're looking for a blower or fan. Fans draw air to impinge on a surface, typically a heat sink. Blowers will force air in a direction. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=5645135&postcount=722
I recently managed to locate the blue fan that is in the picture from the assembly guide, which is NOT included in the retail C90S.

You need to know the Voltage, Current, and mounting size which will let you choose which fan to buy.

Mouser sells the fans made by ADDA, but they might not have the one you want. I had to ask my friend in TW, where Adda makes their fans, to go look for a 45x45x7 12V DC fan for me =(.

If the G51 looks like a G50, then I imagine you're looking for a blower.
Here's the part numbering scheme: http://www.adda.com.tw/eng/fans_model.php
