    Could someone who owns a G51j-A1 please do me a favour and run dxdiag on their system? I'd really like to get a complete list of hardware including the vendor ID's from that notebook.

    To run DxDiag, click the start menu, search for dxdiag then press enter or click the result. Once its running you'd then click "Save All Information" and save to a text file on your desktop or wherever you choose. Finally, open the resulting .txt file it created and copy just the hardware sections to a reply here (from the top of the file down to the "DirectShow Filters" section). Or, alternately, just attach the file to your reply.
