The mic built into the laptop is always on and cannot be turned off and when the Laptop is moved it always plays sound through the speakers or what every its hooked up to either my speakers system or what not and its a real nuisance.

Does anyone know how to turn this off or disable it so it doesn't feedback when I play music?

No one has any clue at all?

So I was about to instal the DOX drivers for the 9800GS to BIOS flash it to the 9800GTS speeds and well I uninstalled the Display Drivers from Nvidia and then went and reinstalled them because I read about the heat increases (88C? too hot for me) and decided it wasn't worth it.

I reinstalled the new "beta" drivers from Nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista64_179.48_beta.html

After installing these drivers the mic just stopped echoing for some reason.

Final solution I found by doing this.
Right click sound icon in task tray
    Playback Devices
    Speakers
    Properties
    Levels
Set Microphone to 0, and then click the speaker icon.
Hit OK until you get back to desktop.

It isn't obvious at all, and Microsoft should fix that up.

Just so you know if you read the thing during the install it says heat will increase. My 3dmarks went up 200 to 500 depending on the res and the temp only went up about 5 degree's. I have decided against the bios flash as well even if it wont work on myne im not even ready to see. The temps the one guy encountered are just too high for me.

For sure. I'd rather not damage my GPU. I saw a video of someone who overclocked the 9800M GS in my model and ended up frying the card and warping the chassis of the notebook by all the heat.
