    Just have the Dvd Multi Drive and was wondering if it is possible to install a blu-ray drive or Blu-ray burner. Has anyone done this ? Approximate cost involved.

    It's doable. Online retailers are offering G51s with BD drives. I plan on upgrading to one myself when the pricing comes down.

    I'm glad I finally have a laptop that I can upgrade almost as easily as a desktop. Only hard thing is finding MXM GPUs.

    Has anyone done the Blu-Ray upgrade to their G50v?

    Is it possible to get a Blu-Ray Burner? Any Brands/Models you recommend?

    I have heard to go with the SATA interface. Any other recommendations?

    I checked the similar items on ebay and there were a few available.

    Quite a few choices. Obviously, I've only tested the Hitachi LG drive but I don't see why any of the tray loaded drives wouldn't work. Many of them cost more than the $89 I paid. Did you contact the seller (CNE) to see if they can get anymore?
