    Hey, i am probably going to pick up the Asus G50v A2 soon, so i was wondering what should i do to it when i first get it?

    i meant like people recommend reformatting it and than installing different drivers but what drivers do i install?

    when I get my g50vt im going to ghost the factory hard drive and store that on a dvd. Then I will removed the hidden partition as I like to have all the room I can on my hard drives.

    I setup raid0 on mine and formatted... and skipped letting it install all the drivers.. Installed them each manually.

    doesn't it already have raid0 setup when you first get it?

    First see if the factory settings are to your liking. Everybody uses different software and different..........................

    I recommend you have a look at my Vista optimization guide. That's something to do when you get your laptop. At the very least replace Norton AV and remove ASUS Live Update. :)

    And oh yeah, don't forget to enjoy the notebook. ;)
