    Hi all,

Im looking to buy the G50vt-X5 at Best Buy for my son who will be a freshman in college this fall and was wondering if it has a "Security Lock Slot" so he can use a locking cable to secure it to a desk or something?

    Thanks

Yes it does, in fact you would be hard pressed to find a normal sized laptop that doesnt, only laptop i can name off hand that doesnt have one is the macbook air.

    Thanks for the reply.

Well you can add Cyberpower laptops to your list of those without security lock slots. I was going to buy from them but when i called them they said no they dont have security lock slots. Weird since its an MSI (and some other mfg) rebadged to Cyberpower.

First one i looked at didnt see it in pictures but seeing this one shows me that it might not be in the picture - http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X5-2900_Notebook/ Bottom pic left side of the notebook.

I was also suprised to see a rebadged D900F on here as i didnt see their name on the list of companys using the new core i7 based laptop - http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Xplorer_X7-Xtreme_S1_Notebook/
