I know you can disable the two led;s that run up and down the side of the monitor using direct console, but does anyone know of a way to turn off the republic of gamers logo and the stripe underneath it? It bugs me beyond belief as I dont turn my laptop off, its on all the time and so when I go to sleep and close the lid I have to throw like a shirt over it so the blinking leds dont keep me up because they illuminate the whole room. So if anyone has any answers that would be great.

I was wondering the same thing... The LED's are very annoying. You can turn off the blinking and make them steady on all the time in direct console if that helps.

you can also turn them off.
Press direct console button, then go advance..at the last tab, to the left theres a little wheel icon press that and you will see the options.

    Always/light off

No, that doesn't work for the lights as mentioned in the OP
Though, I'm not sure if this can't be achieved by use of LCDHype. Anyone?

I haven't been able to turn off the lights in the OP using Direct Console. I don't think it works in LCDHype either, but Predator_MF is apparently working on that.
