    Hi all
I'm currently in Jakarta and wanting to purchase a high spec laptop. I'm having it rather hard to find anything decent at most of the malls. Specifically I'm looking for the Asus G2S, but in general anything thats got at least a C2D 2.2ghz cpu, 8600GT card, etc..

Anyone who has any ideas on where the best places are or any online retailers based in Jakarta, please do let me know. Your help is very much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Henry

Hi Henry, major online retailer in Jakarta that sells ASUS notebooks only www.bhinneka.com, but they don't have any G2S currently.

You can try contact Comlogics (62307419), Hoka Computer (8200308), Novant Computer (6281989), **** Computer (6246577), IT Gallery (5631163), ITShop (62301099), DigiMart (62304410), Compuland (62301425), Surya Cakra Infokom (66603121), or Griyasis (6129889), all of them are authorized dealers of Asus in Jakarta.

O ya, I think once I saw a G2 at one shop at Dusit Mangga Dua, but I'm not sure if it was a G2s or the older G2. Maybe you better go there after the new year's holiday is over.

i went to one of the shops in mangga dua, and i saw the specifications of the G2S on the brochure given to me by the guy there. I looked at the screen resolution, they wrote it as WXGA. I asked the guy in the shop and I asked him about the screen resolution, is it WXGA or WUXGA, and he said that it is WXGA. I looked at the G1S, it was written WSXGA+ there, but again, the guy said that it is WXGA. Look and examine the screen and the specifications again before buying the G2S. There were no display model in that shop at that time, so I could not proof that i was right about the WUXGA screen res in G2S.
