Just out of curiosity how accurate are the temperatures displayed by SpeedFan? Currently, it shows my HD temperature 45 degrees C, my temperature (not really sure what exactly this is measuring) at 65 degress C, and my two cores both at 41 degrees C.

Before my temperatures were HD: 43, temp: 52, and cores: 47-49

could some other people post their temps as displayed by SpeedFan so I can have a comparison? or is there a more reliable temperature-observing software?

The software itself just ties into your mobo sensors so it can and alot of times is wrong. the only true way for getting temps is via a thermal probe.

You can try other programs tho like everest or sandra or even if your computer comes with built in system monitering software (also bios) to see if it gives the same temps, due to the interface the software uses somtimes one may read diffrent than the other.
