(I didn't put this in the G1s lounge, since this may not be G1s specific.)

I've used the HP IPAQ Bluetooth Stereo Headphones for a couple of years with no major problems. They are actually built by Logitech, just branded by HP. They work fine with my IPAQ and also with a Bluetooth dongle that I've used with several desktop computers with Windows XP (with Toshiba bluetooth stack installed).

However, it has a strange problem with Asus G1s, Vista Ultimate. It connects and the sound is starts fine, but after 15 seconds it makes a terrible crackling sound, which lasts for 5 seconds. Then 15 seconds OK, 5 seconds distortion, and so on, indefinitely, like clockwork.

It can't be outside interference, since the problem is the same no matter where I am (in different cities, in a car, in the bushes etc), plus there's no problem when using another computer or PDA in the same environment.

I've tried turning off WLAN and even disabled it from Device Controls. I uninstalled the Asus Data Security Manager. No help.

I'm thinking of installing the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, could that help? Should I remove the Microsoft bluetooth stack first, and if I do, can I re-install it, if Toshiba brings me no help?

I dont think that the G1s bluetooth supports A2DP

Hmm. If it has stereo sound, doesn't it mean that it supports A2DP?

To test this, I connected the Bluetooth Stereo Headphones to G1s and played some sound effect files that have left-right panning, such as a jet flying by and the like. It clearly panned from one ear to another. Does this explicitly mean that the A2DP is working?

I still get the 5 second distortion every 15 seconds, though.
