hi, i recently heard that i can use drivers from laptopvideo2go, i downloaded a few new ones, and every time i try to install, it says :the system has not been modified", is there a solution for it? and also, if i removed the old driver, after restarting, vista itself installed a driver for graphic card, is it possible to not let it do that?

    my spec:
    G1s-1A
    2.2g CPU 2 cores
    8600m gt

Did you drop the modded INF over the original one in the unarchived driver directory, overwriting it?

Did you use the Have Disk method, or setup.exe? Try whichever you didn't already try.

Do you have administrator rights with your account? Did you make sure to allow the driver installation to modify the system files and registry, in any UAC popups that may appear?

Try the Have Disk method, then. You will find a guide on how to do that, on the Laptopvideo2go forums.

If you don't have administrator rights on your OS you wouldn't be able to install drivers. Log on with the administrator account.

I think he did, he said "both with and without". In addition to being admin, you need to confirm the various "lovely" UAC prompts that pop on the screen during the install...

But that's not the problem, I believe, because the ASUS drivers install just fine.

I'd give the Have Disk method a try. Sometimes, Have Disk works and setup.exe doesn't, and sometimes it's the other way around. You never know with modded drivers, they're fussy.
