The game runs solid at 60 fps maxed out settings.

Only one problem I'm noticing is that every once in awhile during combat I will get a graphics/sound stutter. I've messed around lowering the video settings and the problem seems to still occur. After doing some forum searching i've noticed similar problems by other people who are suspecting the Realtek AC audio.

I was kind of suspecting the sound card too but wasn't sure.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiencing solving this problem or has any suggestions on what to do?

edit: running on a fresh Vista install, no antivirus running in background, all bloatware removed

I just got mine a couple days ago, did a clean install, and played wow for a couple hours. I didn't notice any kind of stuttereing at all during that time.

If its not too noticeable, then either it is you overreacting or your internet is lagging.

I have been playing WoW on the G1S for the past week and I did notice some stutter a couple of times but it really hasn't been a major problem (it lasted for a couple of seconds). I probably had some program running in the background

I downloaded the new Realtek HD Audio drivers released a few days ago from their website and no stutters so far in 20 minutes of playing :)

Plus the new driver install got rid of another useless utility/icon in my system tray

    Have you tried a defrag?
WoW takes up quite the sapce on the HDD, and when your patching the game, it rewrites the whole mpq data files each time you patch the game, so their might be some fragmentation.

    Edit:
I always do a defrag after I've installed everything.

yeah, occasionally it'll stutter for me but only when something happens (like in hellfire peninsula if one of those firey geyser things erupt in my face consuming my entire screen, it'll drop down to like 20 fps for a second then go back to 50-60.

I went from 73.6 to 94.5 GB free by turning off Vista's automatic system restore backups.
