    Hi folks,

I bought an Asus G1S 13 months ago. And this week my G1S died. It was working normally I turned off and next day when I turned on and all lights were working but nothing on the screen.
I've been in 3 technician and all of them said to me that is the motherboard. I don't think that I can use the warranty because I bought in US (I'm living in Ireland now) and was 13 months ago, also few months ago I dropped on the floor and the front panel opened, I fix it but there are many scratchs.

Anyway, where I can buy a new motherboard?

Or do you guys think that I can sell it for a good price?

    Cheers

Try to see if they can check your serial number and determine warranty service from there.

I bought my G1S in Canada in Sept 2007. It died October 2008 - I live in the Philippines now, and I visited the local Asus rep here in Manila - told them I can't find my receipt, and they checked the serial at the bottom and told me it was still under warranty.

They replaced my motherboard (blown GPU) with a G1Sn one - the one with a 9500GS, less than 2 hours later, I had a working laptop again. No charge at all.
