Hey, my computer keyboard on my laptop has recently been screwing up. I figured out that the control button is somehow staying on as if if it were pressed down all the time. If I were to press "T" when using a internet browser I get a new tab instead of the letter "T". How do I fix it so the control button is not being activated constantly? This same thing happens to an external keyboard I plug in through USB.

If it is happening on multiple keyboards...

You need to (probably) uninstall and reinstall the USB keyboard drivers.

Another possibility is "Sticky Keys". If this is turned on, the CTRL and ALT keys stay on after being pressed so that short cut combinations can be entered one key at a time. Check the "Ease of use" options in the Control Panel.
