G1S Battlefield 2 Stuttering

Anyone here who is running Battlefield 2 get a lot of stuttering on their G1S in game?

I'm pretty convinced the stuttering is sound related, as if the G1S' on-board sound card cannot handle all the sounds BF2 throws out at it.

Any comments?

 

No stuttering here. Make sure you have the latest drivers.

 

Lithus, which drivers are you using?

 

Have you tried removing the ASUS bloatware? It's been known to cause stuttering issues in Windows and games.

Yes, I got rid of the bloatware.

 

nope no studdering, there's one specific one..did you get rid of all? i think it was the Security Data Manager

Maybe just give a list of the automatically starting programs? Without the windows components.

 

I'm still convinced it's a sound issue because the stuttering seems to occur whenever there is a lot of talking (ie., when you hear your team mates shouting things in Arabic).

 

I get stuttering as well and can't quite place my finger on it.

 

Im getting stuttering too, it seems to go away after about 10 minutes of playing the map

 

I've tried turning all the sound sliders down. No luck. Stutters make the game unplayable because during a stutter I'm basically incapacitated and someone will shoot me and there is nothing I can do about it... hahha

Map textures Its a knows problem in many situations im affraid, with my own lappy, i had loads of stuttering playing BF2, until i got 2 gb of ram, even still, it could lag with textures running at high settings. Try lowering it to medium

 

Good news.

I "appear" to have fixed it:

I re-installed the Audio driver for the G1S from the Asus website and no more stutters.

I figured it was an audio issue...
