Hi all, i've got a problem - the computer works perfect but around a 2 weeks ago I noticed slover work of my HD. I'm pretty sure that i didnt really drom it, the worst i did was like it being shaked in car (in backpack).
But i dont want to give for repair now, because im exchange student and im living im may 17 back to to Ukraine. What would be better to do? Maybe go to bring it to asus warranty center in my country? Thanks

PS I checked my HD by few programs - all they assumed that i might have problems, but they are not critical and the health and performance is "OK" - 60%

60% sounds pretty bad - my 5 year old Hitachi HD in my old Sony laptop still shows 100% health. You might have damaged the HD physically - I would bring it to the warranty center to get the HD replaced for free - hopefully they will believe that it's a defect and will not charge you. Maybe the laptop was damaged during shipment - the postal service loves to drop packages.

Have you scanned and defragged the HD? Because of Window's caching system, the HD gets bogged down really fast with excess useless files, perhaps a system scan, then a defragment will help.
